Sleepless again, and in pain!
Question:
Ditto! Well, truly did feel like waves going through my muscles & the facial ones were the weirdest! think I may not take the Neurontin at same time and see how that goes…. meanwhile I am researching the Ultram that Judith mentioned – as well as whatever else I can find Leslie — Discombobulated Thoughts of an Adelpated Mind "SPerloff" <SPerl…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

weird – off kilter, now remember this was in the wee hours….. heart skipping and face felt like G-force waves passing through….. however when time to get up this morning I felt fine. Hi all, Well, 2am and exhausted, and nothing but tossing and turning in bed. My left hip, the whole leg really, is killing me, and so swollen. This happened to me last year, but not so painful or swollen. I got an x-ray, and it showed nothing. My whole abdomen was in pain, so a sonogram was done, and a gallstone was found, so gallbladder was removed, but I still have abdominal pain *everywhere*, and my hip is back to being swollen, and the pain is so bad. I will call a rheumy tomorrow, but so far, haven’t found a recommended one that has my insurance. Here’s hoping for a pain-free day tomorrow. Good news is that I haven’t had a low-grade fever for a few day now. -Sharon — Fibrofog at it’s best: "Who knows…Maybe Ephedra is the grinded root of an asparagus tree." :)

I am so sorry you have to suffer like that I know the feeling, thats how I was before I was dign with Lupus, my right leg and hip and sleepless nights. I even had the gallstones, and they were removed. Hang in there hopefully the rheumy will help you find answers and relief. "SPerloff" <SPerl…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

Are we sharing a body? I caved in and tried the muscle relaxer last night, it helped enormously with the pain, but was weird. I do hope you find some relief and get some rest! Leslie — Discombobulated Thoughts of an Adelpated Mind "SPerloff" <SPerl…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

Hi Wood, Thanks for the sympathy. I finally crashed on the couch at 5am, and moved to the bed after hubby went to work. Slept until the phone rang at 11am, so six hours of sleep isn’t that bad. Though my hip is still swollen, it isn’t as painful as last night. Today, I called a rheumy recommended by another rheumy’s office who I was trying to see, but didn’t have my insurance, and this office has my insurance! (And there was much rejoicing! -Monty Python) The appts don’t start until October 9! But I was able to get onto the cancellations list, and there were only two patients ahead of me on the list. Since I am free all summer, I will go to the appt even with a couple of hours notice. They suggested calling every three days or so to find out if there are any appts cancelled, although they will call me too. I think I will call *every* day until they are so sick of me, they give me an appt! <EWG> -Sharon (Who stupidly jinxed any hope of a pain-free day by saying my hip was feeling better- Now it hurts again! :( ) — Fibrofog at it’s best: "Who knows…Maybe Ephedra is the grinded root of an asparagus tree." :)

That’s great! Muscle pain gone??? Wow! :) I wonder what g-force waves passing through one’s head feels like <bg>. I know that when I didn’t sleep for 48 hours, I started seeing things, like little bugs flying past that weren’t there, and stars sparkling all around me. (Just a little crazy, but enough to be committed! <G>) The wee hours are some strange times! -Sharon — Fibrofog at it’s best: "Who knows…Maybe Ephedra is the grinded root of an asparagus tree." :)

Hi Leslie, So sorry to hear of your sleep loss! I think one of the worst feelings in the world is the feeling of exhaustion yet tossing and turning, and knowing you have to be up in a couple of hours… Just staring at the clock… UUUuuuhhhhggg! What do you mean when you say the muscle relaxer felt weird? I know it makes me loopy, (and I’m already loopy enough
No help needed here!) Does the muscle relaxer help the swelling at all? I know my fiance used a muscle relaxer for a while, but stopped because he was scared he might get addicted. -Sharon (Was feeling better, ’til I jinxed it!) — Fibrofog at it’s best: "Who knows…Maybe Ephedra is the grinded root of an asparagus tree." :)
