Question:

I would not consider myself a heavy drinker, usually restricted to just the weekend, but I’ve recently developed acute pains in the area of my kidneys after consuming alcohol, the pain is generally dull and intermittent but sometimes sharp. Having visited my GP and had blood and urine samples taken, everything appeared fine yet even after absataining from alcohol for 3 months, the pain returned on drinking alcohol again. Has anyone experienced this before, no what it is or know of any treatments for pain of this nature ? Many thanks.
