Question:

Of the people who have quit taking Arthrotec and had the pain cramps and stomach pain along with the diarrhea – how long did it take for yours to subside. I stopped taking it last night and I’m still having pain. The diarrhea had calmed down soon. It’s a shame as this med really healped my foot pain and some of my back pain. Now my back pain has returned BIG TIME! Connie

Connie, I know what you mean, this medicine really helped with my pain and inflamation, it’s too bad i couldn’t take it because of the stomach pain.  I tried for 12 days and the stomach cramping just got worse every day. It wasn’t too long after i stopped the cramps went away, around 2 to 3 days. carole

Mine subsided almost immediately.  I was also on Zantac so that may have helped. Sarah L

Hi Connie My stomach felt better immediately.  I stopped having to run to the toilet within two days. Did you call your RD or GP for something to use in place of the Arthrotec?  I just can’t stomach the NSAIDS at this point so I am on a low dose of prednisone which is helping control the inflamation while I’m waiting on the Plaq to kick in.  If you don’t have something, call your doctor ASAP.  Don’t suffer. Don’t worry, I still had some Feldene in the house and I just got them refilled. I had called my doctor about it before I saw that idiot RD.
