Question:

once I popped open the package I wouldn’t be happy until I ate the whole dang thing.

LOL!<<< I got my package of them yesterday and I have to say I am very very pleased so far.   I’m up very early this morning (shoulder pain, couldn’t sleep). Made some coffee and had 1/2 of an apple cinnamon cookie. Truthfully, I wouldn’t have been able to finish the whole thing anyway, they are *that* filling!  And so moist and tasty! The southwest eggbeaters are hard to find in my area, but I really didn’t care for them.  I don’t like overly spicy foods and these left my mouth burning<<

Grocery store didn’t have the Southwestern so I ended up getting the Garden Veggie. I may just stick with that and add a Tablespoon of salsa on top of the eggs. I hope you can find the meringues, they have become a staple for me!<<

I did!!  Ended up buying a tub of Miss Meringue Triple Chocolate Chip and one of Cappuccino. Had 2 of the CC ones and that was more than enough for me. Wouldn’t have been able to eat 4 (the serving size) and this coming from someone who is a sugar addict. LOL!! I think I finally met my match. Last month’s WW magazine had a coupon in it and this month has one in it, too.  I found the cookies in the bakery department of my Meijer store. Barb Started 1/10/2003 (196)167/159/145

Glad to hear the positive review!  I will keep them in mind, am still undecided as to whether this is really a safe option for me.  I know how I am with cookies, probably wouldn’t be happy until the whole thing was demolished.  <grin The southwest eggbeaters are hard to find in my area, but I really didn’t care for them.  I don’t like overly spicy foods and these left my mouth burning<< Grocery store didn’t have the Southwestern so I ended up getting the Garden Veggie. That’s normally what I do also.  I did love the garden veggie variety, use them to make an omelet, then add a bit of salsa and about a teasppon of ff sour cream on top.  It is a great change of pace from my standard oatmeal. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE!  Glad you found them!  I usually only eat two of the larger ones also, they take me quite awhile to finish.  I buy the mini ones, usually 10-12 cookies for 2 points and last close to an hour.  hehehe  I’ve been wanting to try the cappuccino variety, must be good since they are always sold out at my store. My next favorite is the chocolate raspberry, but I’ve only seen them in the mini sized cookies.  Hubby loves the triple chocolate chip!  Don’t know if you have a Trader Joes near you, but they have a mint chocolate chip meringue cookiei that is wonderful! The cookies— yes, I knew they are 2 servings each.  I’ve also heard they are very filling so 1/2 does OK for breakfast and save the other half for later on in the day.  I’m hoping to get my boyfriend to take one for breakfast rather than eating Fudge Rounds. :-)

Glad you were aware of this … I wasn’t!  I only know myself, once I popped open the package I wouldn’t be happy until I ate the whole dang thing.  LOL! Would be really unhappy after learning that I totally messed up. The cake rolls — I wrote to the company and asked if they were available anywhere near me and they said no. At least not yet.  I look at these as not something I’d want all the time but to order once in a while. I doubt they ship well in the summer time but they keep frozen for 9 months so I may order a few in April to have over the summer.

I checked out their website again, I swear that several months ago they had a store locator that searched by zipcodes but darned if I can find it now.  I’ll email and see if there is any possibility that these are sold anywhere near me. Otherwise, I do like your idea of freezing for the summer.  We don’t eat a lot of cakes, but it’s still nice to have an option available for those times that people pop in unexpectedly … or when just looking for something *special*. Went to the health store last night and bought more of the Fantastic soups and cereals—they were all on sale—some soy-based ham slices, Kashi cereal, some soy=based burger patties.  Today I’m going to look for the Eggbeaters in the Southwest style and some meringues.

I’m down to my last 3 fantastic cereals, am deciding whether I want to put a big order in at the website or just buy a few locally.  I hate making decisions. LOL!  The southwest eggbeaters are hard to find in my area, but I really didn’t care for them.  I don’t like overly spicy foods and these left my mouth burning a bit.  If you can’t find them, I would think you would get the same effect by scrambling in some cooked diced peppers and onions and a bit of tobasco.  I hope you can find the meringues, they have become a staple for me! Be careful with those bakers breakfast cookies!  I have heard they were good, but most everyone was surprised when they looked closely at the nutritional information and found each was considered 2 servings. Tastes a lot like pumpkin pie, not overly spiced.  I found that the 1" serving was enough to fill me up and kill any desire for anything else after dinner. I did wait about an hour or so after I ate dinner to have the cake. I would definitely buy this again. I just wish I could get them near me. <sigh If anyone is interested I ordered them from their website: http://robbinsnest.safeshopper.com/index.htm?100  Ended the day with 1165 calories/22 Pts. At the lower end of my point range. I’ll let you know how the German Chocolate one is after the weekend. Am also waiting for delivery of 1 dozen Bakers Breakfast bars.  :-) Barb — A Healthier Me in 2003 Since Jan. 10, 2003 (196)167 * 165 * * * *160 ^ * * * 155 * * * * 150 * * * * 145 BMI: (33.6) 28.7 / 27.1 / 25 Mini-goal – 155 / 26.6
