Question:

((Julie)) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Thanks everyone for your response…went to the surgeon and his explanation is just breast pain! He said if I cut out caffein it would go away! On the other hand he did say on a scale 1-10 my breast density is 10 and they can’t see a thing. That’s encouraging, isn’t it. So I go back in 6 weeks and have a sonar gram (sp). I don’t know if that will pick the calcification up better…suppose it will. As I have read on the computer they have to see how the calcification is clustered to be able to tell if cancerous. I’ve just decided not to worry. I really think the pain is combination of costocondritis and Fibromyalgia….or the RA from my shoulder degeneration. I cut the caffein for 2 days…had a huge headache. Made me a cup of coffee as fast as possible! As long as I know where the pain is coming from, who cares? I’ll just try to cut back. I don’t drink much anyway. Anyway, prognosis is have sonar grams each time I have a mamogram and more often and watch for any changes. That’s scary because by the time I see a change it could be too late. I’ll find out more in 6 weeks. Thanks all….great to be able to talk to you all…I’ll go back to lurking and try to post occasionally! But I am here! Always, julie molli

Julie, I also have dense breasts. I have fibrocystic breasts. It is scary not knowing and knowing that they can’t really see that great because of the density. If your pain is just breast pain, limiting caffeine can help. Also I believe it was Vit E and B6 is what they had me on for it. Please forgive me because this was like 20 yrs ago. Memory is going because of fibro fog. I hope all turns out well for you and it turns out to be nothing that is serious. — Love and hugs to all Good thoughts coming your way too. Squirrely Jo
